DELFINO
Delfino is a Marconi ketch built in 1939 in Italy by Oscar Cavagna and designed by John Alden. It combines the comfort of a cruiser with the speed and agility of a classic boat.
The boat was originally commissioned by the Governor of Trieste in the late 1930s and was owned by the “Magazzini Generali.” During World War II, after serving as a gentleman's yacht for the British Admiral-in-Chief of Trieste, it was handed over to the Yachting Club “Circolo Adriaco” in Trieste, where it served as the club's sailboat until the 1960s.
The layout of its deck and interior were carefully restored during an extensive renovation in 2006, which was completed in 2011.
It is a capable, elegant, fast, and comfortable ketch at sea. A spacious cabin and a well-proportioned, spacious doghouse give way to a bright, traditional, and cozy interior.
The latest addition to the boat is a wood-burning stove from Shipmate Stove Company, making it ideal for sailing throughout the season.
