Linen and cotton scarf that can also be used as a sarong or shawl. Woven on handlooms and finished with hand-knotted fringes.

Technique

Folding and dyeing is a variant of shibori, a Japanese technique used since the 8th century, which consists of folding a piece of fabric to create specific dyeing patterns across the surface that is exposed to the dye.​

Dye

Acorn: Quercus ilex or holm oak, obtained from the acorn caps of the trees in the estate's forests. In this case, iron has been added to darken the tone.

Quince: Cydonia oblonga, commonly known as quince and obtained from the leaves of the trees in the Son Moragues orchard.

Rhamnus: Rhamnus alaternus or mediterranean buckthorn, foraged in the forests of the estate.

Note: Natural dyes can be very sensitive when in contact with substances with a high pH, such as a drop of lemon or vinegar. This might cause a permanent stain. If this ever happens, we recommend you follow our motto and "embrace the stain!"
