This unique experience is designed for both olive oil aficionados and curious newcomers, allowing participants to explore the complexities and subtleties of one of Mallorca’s most treasured products — SONMO extra virgin olive oil (EVOO).
What to Expect
During the workshop, you'll learn how to taste olive oil like an expert. Participants will gain insight into the different phases of oil tasting, including aroma, flavor, and the balance of the oil as it passes through the mouth. You'll also learn to distinguish between the qualities that make an extra virgin olive oil stand out from lower-grade oils such as virgin or lampante.
Discover the Unique Mallorquina Olive
A special focus of the workshop is the Mallorquina olive variety, which is less known internationally but holds a key place in Mallorca’s agricultural tradition. We’ll explore what makes this variety unique, and how its characteristics differ from the more widely recognized Arbequina or Picual olives. You’ll come away understanding how to use and store olive oil to ensure you get the best flavor from every bottle.
